De Quervain’s disease and other tendinitides of the wrist and forearm

Tendinitis in the wrist or forearm region is often associated with straining of the hand. Primary treatment consists of reducing the strain. Work-related tenosynovitis usually heals in a couple of weeks when the strain is removed. Surgical treatment may come into question in chronic stenosing tenosynovitis.
